David holds a master's degree in law and a commerce degree. He has been a solicitor since 1984 and joined the firm in 1986.

He became a partner in the firm in 1992.

David practises in a broad range of commercial and property transactions and has a particular interest in estate planning.

He is also a past president of the Gold Coast Law Association.
