Community
Rudkin Hitchcock Lawyers, like it’s predecessor firm Primrose Couper Cronin Rudkin, maintains a strong link with the local community on the Gold Coast. These links extend across a broad cross section of the community from local welfare groups to sporting organisations and schools.
We are committed to contributing to both the ever-growing business community on the Gold Coast and the wellbeing of the community as a whole.
Pro bono legal services
The staff at Rudkin Hitchcock recognise that their legal expertise is a valuable resource in the community and that not all people and groups necessarily have access to these services. As a result, Rudkin Hitchcock through consultation with community legal organisations, offers its services to a range of people and organisations on a pro bono basis.
These include:
- Working with local not-for-profit organisations which assist people from a lower socio-economic background with housing and tenancy issues.
- Working with local sporting organisations and volunteer groups to assist them with the ever‑growing compliance issues that they face.
- Representing individuals on a case by case basis through referrals and consultation with local community legal organisations.
Volunteering in the Community
Apart from pro bono legal services, the Partners and staff at Rudkin Hitchcock Lawyers contribute in excess of 300 hours of community service each year through their association with local volunteer organisations. These include:
- The involvement of 3 Partners as volunteer life savers on Gold Coast beaches through their affiliation with a number of Surf Life Saving Clubs.
- Rudkin Hitchcock works with local schools (both private and public) to provide career information and pathways for young students considering the practice of law by attending career nights and offering work experience places.
- Supporting our staff in their involvement in extra curricular pursuits such as the Army Reserves.
